The Advantech DS-230 is a powerful digital signage player built to the Intel SDM-L (Smart Display Module – Large) specification and driven by 12th and 13th Generation Intel Core processors — from an efficient Pentium 8505 up to Core i5, including vPro-enabled options. Delivering 4K UHD output and smooth streaming through a card-edge connector while keeping energy use low, it slots directly into SDM-compatible displays to cut cabling, save space and reduce deployment and field-maintenance costs.

Real 4K Across Three Independent Displays

Backed by Intel Iris Xe integrated graphics, the DS-230 outputs genuine 4K UHD (3840 × 2160) at 60 Hz across up to three independent displays — HDMI 2.0 and DisplayPort 1.4a from the golden-finger connector, plus a DisplayPort 1.4a on the front bracket. Comprehensive hardware video decoding (H.265/HEVC, H.264/AVC, VP9, VP8, MPEG-2, VC1/WMV9 and MJPEG) ensures smooth, high-quality playback of demanding 4K content.

Slot-In Simplicity — or Standalone

Conforming to the Intel SDM standard, the DS-230 installs by sliding into an SDM-ready screen for a tidy, serviceable, tool-light deployment. Where a slot isn't available, the optional SDM Docking Station (EBC-V101GB, with its own 12 V @ 7 A power adapter) lets the same module run as a standalone box — giving you flexible deployment from a single product.

Wireless is available via an optional Wi-Fi/Bluetooth module (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, BT 4.1) supplied with Wi-Fi 6E dipole antennas and SMA antenna cables through the M.2 2230 E-Key slot. Your operating system is bundled to order — Windows 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC (64-bit) or Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC (64-bit) — and the optional SDM docking station is available for standalone deployment.
