Overview

The Elo 1004L is a 10.1-inch HD touchscreen built for businesses that need to plug a screen into a wider system. It uses Elo's TouchPro projected-capacitive technology with edge-to-edge glass and 10-point touch, and it's sealed to IP54 against dust and spills as well as carrying an IK07 impact rating — so it's genuinely at home in demanding, hands-on environments. Its compact, low-profile form and flexible mounting make it easy to drop into point-of-sale and self-service kiosks, kitchen display systems, warehouse automation, access control and general HMI setups. It's also available as a non-touch model where interaction isn't needed.

Connectivity and Peripheral Integration

This is where the 1004L stands apart from the smaller LS monitors. Alongside USB Type-C it adds HDMI and Mini-DisplayPort video inputs plus a DC power jack, so it fits neatly into almost any source setup. It also carries four Micro-USB Elo Edge Connect ports, letting you bolt on payment devices, barcode scanners, cameras, RFID readers, fingerprint readers and status lights to build a complete workstation around a single screen. It can even output power over USB-C (up to 18W) to run an Elo Pay 7" unit, making it the hub of a tidy, self-contained POS stack.

Optically-Bonded Touch Display

The 1280 x 800 HD panel is optically bonded to the edge-to-edge glass, which keeps the image sharp, cuts glare and removes any gap behind the surface. The projected-capacitive sensor handles up to ten simultaneous touches for quick, accurate interaction, and an anti-glare finish helps it stand up to constant public use. TÜV Rheinland-certified Low Blue Light keeps viewing comfortable over long shifts, and there are two 2W speakers built in.

Built to Take a Beating

The 1004L is designed for continuous, real-world use. The IP54 seal protects the electronics against dust ingress and liquid spills, while the IK07-rated build and chemically hardened, anti-glare glass shrug off knocks and heavy handling. Elo quotes a demonstrated MTBF of 50,000 hours, and mounting is genuinely flexible — a rear 75mm VESA interface plus stand, wall-mount and pole-mount options let you site it wherever the job needs.

Variants, Options and Warranty

The 1004L comes in a 10-touch PCAP version and a non-touch version, so you can match it to the application. It ships with three years of cover as standard, extendable to four or five years, with Advance Unit Replacement available on three, four and five-year terms for fast swap-outs and minimal downtime.
