Giada SDM-L613 Intel Core i7 Smart Display Module with 8K and vPro

The Giada SDM-L613 is a Smart Display Module built on Intel's Raptor Lake-U Core processors, in the SDM-L format measuring 175 mm x 110 mm. It slides into the SDM bay of a compatible commercial display and connects through a PCIe x8 edge connector rather than a cable loom, so the player is invisible from the front and there is nothing to snag, unplug or trip over. An 8K capable HDMI output, 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet and genuine Intel vPro remote management put it above the OPS modules in the range.

Slots Into Any SDM-L Display

The PCIe x8 edge connector carries HDMI and DisplayPort at up to 4096 x 2304 @60 Hz, USB3.2 Gen1, UART, GSPI, I2C, PCIe lanes, system fan control and 12V power, all through a single blind mate connection to the host display. Because SDM is a smaller and thinner standard than OPS, it suits slim bezel panels and interactive displays where an OPS bay would not fit. A separate HDMI port on the module itself runs at up to 7680 x 4320 @60 Hz, so an 8K panel or an external screen can be driven at full resolution alongside the host display. JAHC support provides watchdog timer, auto power on and RTC scheduling through the display interface.

Core i7 Performance with 8K Output

Four processor options are available: the Core i3-1315U with six cores and eight threads, and the Core i5-1335U, i5-1345U and i7-1355U each with ten cores and twelve threads, all at 15W base power. The i5 and i7 builds carry Intel Iris Xe graphics rather than UHD graphics, with hardware decode for 8K 60fps 12 bit 4:2:0 HEVC, VP9 and SCC, so 8K assets play natively rather than being downscaled. Memory runs to 64 GB of DDR5-5200 across two SO-DIMM slots in dual channel, well ahead of the DDR4 used across Giada's OPS modules, with an M.2 2280 slot running PCIe 4.0 x4 for storage.

vPro Remote Management and Connectivity

The Core i5-1345U build carries Intel vPro Enterprise, giving out of band remote management through Intel AMT: power cycling, BIOS access and recovery over the network even when the operating system has failed or the machine is powered down. On a fleet of screens across multiple sites that is the difference between a remote fix and an engineer visit. Networking is an Intel i225-LM controller at 2.5 Gigabit, faster than the Gigabit ports on the OPS range. An M.2 E key 2230 slot accepts Wi-Fi 5 or Wi-Fi 6 over CNVi. Module I/O covers one USB Type C 3.2 Gen1, two USB3.2 Gen2, two USB2.0, microphone in and audio out, with optional TPM 2.0. Rated 0°C to 60°C operating and -20°C to 75°C storage, a wider window than the rest of the range.
