Overview

The SureView SVS312EC-O is a 31.2″ black & white e-paper (EPD) signage display built specifically for outdoor public information — ideal for bus and transit stations, wayfinding, timetables and notices. Because e-paper only draws power when the image changes, it can run from a solar panel and operate in locations with no mains supply, while remaining fully digitally controllable like an LCD screen. A rugged IP65, IK08-rated metal enclosure with anti-glare, UV-protected cover glass makes it suited to permanent outdoor installation. It's part of a family available in 13.3″, 28″ and 31.2″ sizes to suit different locations and content.

Ultra-Low-Power, Solar-Ready Operation

The reflective e-paper panel consumes power only during updates — typically 3.7W or less when refreshing, dropping to 0.01W on standby and 0.001W when shut down. This allows the display to run from a solar power supply as well as a mains adapter, removing the need for grid connection and dramatically cutting running costs and carbon emissions. It's an ideal fit for green-energy and sustainability-led public projects, and for non-electrified sites where a conventional screen simply couldn't be installed.

Clear, Rugged Outdoor Readability

Unlike backlit screens, e-paper stays crisp and glare-free in bright daylight, with a wide 178° viewing angle for easy reading from any position. The 31.2″ panel delivers a sharp 2560×1440 resolution (94 DPI) across a 691 × 389 mm viewing area, protected by 3mm anti-glare, UV-resistant cover glass. An optional built-in front light allows clear reading at night or in low light. The black sheet-metal enclosure with outdoor paint finish is rated IP65 against water and dust and IK08 against impact, and operates across a wide −15 to 65 °C range.

Simple Content Management and Connectivity

Running Android 7.1 on a quad-core ARM processor, the display updates quickly (2.5 seconds or less) and can be managed remotely or updated locally via USB flash drive or the Android app. Connectivity includes RJ45 Ethernet (10/100M), Wi-Fi 2.4G, Bluetooth 4.0, 2× USB 2.0 and HDMI output, with optional 4G for fully wireless deployment and a reserved TF card slot for local storage. An API and SDK are provided for integration with timetable feeds and third-party content systems, and multiple display languages are supported.
