Sureview Launches the 21.5″ SVAVL-ID215TS Transparent Touch Screen Showcase Box Display

Assured Digital Signage has introduced a new transparent interactive display to its own Sureview range.

The Sureview SVAVL-ID215TS is a 21.5″ transparent touch screen showcase box display with a built-in Android media player, developed for retailers, brands, dealerships and venues that want to merchandise a physical product and deliver digital content in the same space. Products sit inside the showcase enclosure and remain fully visible, while Full HD graphics, pricing, animation and interactive content play across the transparent panel in front of them. The result is a display that promotes the product rather than competing with it.

As part of our own Sureview Commercial Displays range, the SVAVL-ID215TS is designed, specified and supported in-house, giving customers direct access to customisation, configuration and technical support throughout the life of a deployment. A Genuinely Different Kind of Display

Very little in commercial signage does what this unit does. A conventional screen — however bright or high in resolution — presents everything on a single flat plane. The SVAVL-ID215TS works across two: the physical product sitting inside the enclosure, and the digital layer playing on the transparent panel in front of it.

That separation produces real, physical depth rather than a simulated 3D effect. Because the graphics genuinely sit in front of the object, content appears to float around and over the product, and the relationship between the two shifts naturally as the viewer moves — the same parallax you get looking at any real object, not an illusion generated by a panel. Text can wrap around a product, an animation can orbit it, and a character can appear to stand beside it. There are no glasses, no headset and no specialist content pipeline involved: on a transparent panel, black areas of the image read as clear, so the effect is achieved with ordinary Full HD signage content.

It is this sense of depth that gives the format the “hologram box” quality it is known for, and it is why a transparent showcase stops people who walk past dozens of conventional screens without a second look. For a brand launch, a hero product or a front-of-house installation, the display is itself part of the attraction.

Crystal Clear Transparent Display

The SVAVL-ID215TS uses a Full HD transparent panel that allows whatever is placed behind the screen to remain clearly visible while digital content is displayed over it. It is a straightforward way to build eye-catching retail and exhibition displays without hiding the item on show — a watch, a handset, a bottle, a cosmetic line or a component can be presented inside the metal showcase enclosure while the screen adds the story, the specification and the price.

Interactive PCAP Touch Technology

A responsive projected capacitive touch screen enables smooth, accurate multi-touch interaction directly on the transparent surface. Visitors can browse product information, change languages, cycle through variants or launch a video without staff assistance, which makes the display equally suited to busy retail floors and to unstaffed showrooms and exhibition stands. PCAP delivers the fast, familiar response people expect from a smartphone, and stands up to continuous public use.

Built-In Android Media Player

The display is powered by Android 11 with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of storage, so digital signage applications run on the screen itself with no external media player, no separate PC and no additional box to power or secure. HDMI, USB, LAN and Wi-Fi connectivity give complete flexibility over how content is loaded and managed, whether that is a USB update on a single unit or a networked CMS driving content across an entire estate. Wide Viewing Angle Display

The Full HD 1920 x 1080 panel delivers 300 cd/m² brightness, a 1200:1 contrast ratio and a 178° viewing angle, keeping content clear and vibrant from almost any position — important where a showcase sits on an open shop floor and is approached from several directions. The long-life panel is rated for more than 60,000 hours of operation, and integrated 5W stereo speakers add audio where a campaign calls for it.

Premium Showcase Design

The unit is built around a durable metal enclosure available in white, black or a customised finish, so it can be specified to match store design, brand guidelines or an existing shop-fit. At 15kg it is a substantial, secure piece of hardware that presents as premium retail furniture rather than as a screen bolted to a stand, and it operates reliably across a 0°C to 40°C range in any normal indoor environment.

A Virtual Host That Talks to Your Visitors

Because content appears to sit within the showcase rather than on a conventional screen, the SVAVL-ID215TS is exceptionally effective at presenting animated characters, avatars and virtual presenters. Rendered against the transparent panel, a character reads as though it is standing inside the unit and looking out at the room — creating the impression of a life-like host speaking directly to the person in front of it, rather than a video playing on a display.

In reception and visitor areas this turns a signage screen into a genuine welcome. An animated brand character or virtual receptionist can greet arrivals, point them to the right desk, lift or meeting room, walk them through visitor sign-in, and answer the questions front-of-house teams field all day — with visitors tapping the PCAP screen to ask for what they need. Paired with the integrated 5W stereo speakers, the character can speak as well as move, giving reception a warm, staffed feel outside office hours and at busy arrival peaks without adding headcount.

The same approach carries across the estate: an animated guide can deliver wayfinding and site safety briefings, introduce a product on a retail or exhibition stand, explain a technical item in a showroom, or act as an interactive help point that draws people in and holds their attention far longer than static content.
